[To STOP PLAYBACK |
When one side of a disc is played to the end, playback
automatically stops and the disc stops rotating.
To stop playback part way through a disc, proceed as
follows.
1.
Press the EJECT button on the player, or the
EJECT key (@/4) on the remote control unit.
m When
the
EJECT
button
on
the
player
is
pressed, the disc stops rotating, and the disc
table emerges.
m When
the EJECT
key on the remote
control
unit is:
Pressed once
: The disc stops rotating.
Pressed twice : The
disc stops
rotating
and
the disc table emerges.
2. Pull out the disc table
3. Remove the disc
Return the disc to its jacket or case, and store it
vertically.
4. Push in the disc table
Do
not
leave the disc table
in the pulled
out
position.
If a strong force is applied to the disc table while
it is pulled out, the disc table may be damaged.
Also depending on the place of installation, there
is a danger of the player falling over.
Except when
inserting or removing a disc, keep the disc table
pushed into the player.
5. Wait several seconds and then turn off the
power.
TV CHANNEL ADJUSTMENT
(WHEN THE PICTURE IS NOT CLEAR)
Confirm that the channel selector switch on the rear
panel of the player, is set to the same channel as the
channel used for disc playback,
1. Set your TV set to the channel (3 or 4) used for
disc playback.
2. Start disc playback.
3. Adjust the fine tuning of your TV set so that a
clear picture is obtained.
(The method of fine tuning differs from one TV set to
another.
Please refer to the operating instructions for
your TV set.)

BASIC. OPERATION
| TO WATCH A TV BROADCAST
When a VHF TV antenna has been connected to your
TV via the player's ANTENNA terminal, in accordance
with
the
connection
example
given
in these
in-
structions (page 8), TV broadcasts can be received
normally by proceeding in one of the following two
ways:
m By switching off power to the player
Before switching off power, first perform the steps
in "TO STOP PLAYBACK", and stop disc playback.
m= By making the LVP indicator on the front panel
turn off. (Use the TV/LVP key on the remote
control unit.)
In either case, the signals from the VHF
antenna
are fed to the TV set via the player.

Press the TV/LVP key on the
remote
control
unit so as to
make the indicator turn off,
or turn off power.
NOTE:
In an area where the TV broadcast signal is weak, slanting
stripes may appear on the TV screen when the TV/LVP key is
pressed to receive a TV broadcast.
However this does not
indicate a fault, and the stripes can be eliminated by turning
off power to the player.
In such
cases,
or when
you
wish
to watch
TV for long
periods of time, we recommend that you turn off the power
switch of the player.
WHEN
USING A TV SET WITH VIDEO AND
AUDIO INPUT TERMINALS
When
using the video
input terminal
of your TV,
switch to the broadcast using the controls of your TV.
