Inspecting

Establish a regular inspection schedule :
every lift inspection
Visual examination by the operator before and during each lift.
Inspect for:

Debris on the load surface,
•
Condition and operation
excessive wear at hook points
any damage
•
Lifter performance—any malfunction
frequent inspection
Visual examination by the operator or other
designated persons—records not required.
Normal service.......................... monthly
Heavy service............................weekly to monthly
Severe service...........................daily to weekly
Special or infrequent service.........qualified person
Inspect for:

Structural deformation
structural bending
breaks
cracks
weld breaks or cracks
deformed hardware
•
Loose, missing, or damaged
fasteners

Condition or operation

Visual inspection by a qualified person,
keeping records for continuing evaluations.

When the external conditions of the lifter merit a detailed inspection,
disassemble the lifter, performing a complete inspection:

Condition or operation
Inspection and Maintenance in this manual is only a guide for the user.
Adjust inspection and maintenance schedules, according to actual
environmental conditions and severity of use. If inspection reveals
any damage, remove the lifter from service, tagging with
