7 New Features of 12.0

The following is a list of new features since version 11.1 of the FreeFlow Accxes Controller.

7.1 Updated Postscript interpreter

For FreeFlow Accxes 12.0 on YKE Controllers, the Adobe rendering engine has been upgraded
from 3016.103 to 3017.102. This includes several advantages:
Several bugs fixed with missing PDF fonts
Bug fixed with non-printing scanned PDF files
Support for PDF 1.6 files
Improved Font Fidelity
* Some PDF document security features are not fully supported, as there is no current way to
enter a password at some of the Wide Format printers. Accxes will print most PDF files that can
normally be 1) opened and 2) printed in Acrobat without entering a password.
As always, the PostScript rendering engine is not a clone and is 100% Adobe certified.

7.2 New DWF interpreter

Support for rendering Design Web Format (DWF) files has been added to the FreeFlow Accxes
Controller. This is an optional feature which must be enabled by the "AutoCAD" feature key
before it can be used.
There is no support currently for 3D DWF files, nor is there support for password protected DWF
files.
Non-standard fonts not embedded in the DWF file will be substituted by the closest available
standard font.
For security reasons the FreeFlow Accxes controller does not use virtual memory for DWF
processing. This prevents the controller from correctly processing certain highly complex files
and extremely large files.

7.3 6204 Printer and Scanner Support

The main feature for the 12.0 FreeFlow Accxes release is directly connected support for the 6204
printer and scanner. This combines the same UI functionality as the 6204 with Basic Print Server
with the flexibility and ease of use of the FreeFlow Accxes controller.

7.4 Enhanced Web Printer Management Tool

The Web Printer Management Tool has been upgraded to be W3C compliant, and placed on a
new platform which can be extended to support new features in the future.
Although the layout and navigation have changed significantly users of the older WebPMT should
find that features are grouped in a very familiar manner.
To take full advantage of the enhancements you must use a browser which meets the following
minimum requirements:
