Scan Performance
a. Enhanced scanning capabilities bring added flexibility to this series of MFPs. A range of
scan functions let you decide how and where your scanned images are routed and stored.
b. Scanning and Image management including scan resolutions from 72 x 72 dpi for smallest
file size to 600 x 600 dpi for highest image quality. File formats including TIFF, Multi-
TIFF and PDF.
c. Scanning Compression efficiencies include JBIG2 compression that reduces file sizes up
to 10 times smaller. MRC (Mixed Raster Content) enables smaller exported file sizes at
higher image quality.
d. Industry standard scanning protocols for network scanning include Novell (NCP via
IPX/SPX), FTP, Microsoft SMB via TCP/IP and HTTP/HTTPS. Email protocols include
SMTP and MIME encoded.
Fax Performance
a. Embedded Fax/LAN Fax compression/speed includes MH/MR/MMR/G3 and Super G3
with 33,600 bps, which means less than 4 seconds per page transmission time. Internet
Fax protocols include SMTP and POP3 (RFC1939). Internet Fax file formats include
TIFF-FX profiles S, F with G3 MH or JPEG compression, PDF (image only) with G3
MH, G4MMR or JPEG compression and PDF and Multi TIFF.
b. Embedded/LAN/Internet Fax resolutions up to 600 x 600 dpi for excellent image quality.
c. Fax features include dual lines, double sided printing, secure receive, and up to 100 password
protected mailboxes, along with several reporting, confirmation and coversheet options.
MEETS EXCEEDS
3. Functionality enables true performance and SMart job processing ensures job queue
management on the device, as well as at the desktop/web and within the print driver.
Informing users of the status of any job that is in the queue, processing, or has completed.
Users can promote or delete their jobs. Job processing also provides a capability for a job
priority scheme to be made available by the system administrator. This capability is also
provided at the desktop via Xerox bi-directional print drivers. The "print around" capability
will hold a job needing resources (such as a different paper size) and prints the next job in
the queue, allowing for constant and
continual output from the device. All
print doesn't stop; it keeps working and
is always ready for more. SMart paper
trays automatically sense the paper size
and orientation loaded in each tray and
automatically notifies you via the user
interface and bi-directional print driver
when paper is loaded.
"Print Around" holds a job needing
resources and prints the next job in
