Carefully lift-up the
edge
of
the DX7*s front
control
panel

closest to the keyboard and open it
all
the way
until
it
is
resting against
the back edge
of
the DX7
case
as
shown
in
Figure 3 on
the
next page.

the ROM
IC.

located the near the
center
of
the Main Circuit board (the DM board)

shown in FIGURE
3.
At
this point you can verify whether
or not your
unit requires further modification before
installing the SPECIAL EDITION
RDM.
Remember, NO
IC15,
then
NO
modification
is necessary.
If
IC13
Is
present
then your DX7 needs modification before proceeding and
you should refer to APPENDIX
A
on Page
29.
After
completion
of
the modification proceed with

required then
