MUSIC PRODUCTION and PERFORMANCE
Connect the microphone to the MIC INPUT jack on the rear panel.
Press the [MIC ON/OFF] button on the panel so that the lamp lights.
Adjust the microphone input level by using the INPUT GAIN knob.
Adjust the input gain so that the PEAK lamp flashes briefly on the loud peaks.
Select "MIC" by pressing the Knob Function buttons; then adjust the volume by using the Knob to
which VOLUME is assigned.
Use a dynamic microphone for best results. Avoid microphones that require external (Phantom) power – the
keyboard does not supply +48V required for these types of microphones. If you want to use one, you will
need to connect it to a mixer or device that can supply this voltage prior to connecting to the XS.
