In certain circumstances, if you migrate to the BlackBerry Professional Software from BlackBerry Enterprise Server for Microsoft
Exchange version 4.1 SP4 or from BlackBerry Enterprise Server Express version 4.1 SP4, the BlackBerry Dispatcher and the
BlackBerry Router do not install correctly.
Workaround
1. Perform one of the following actions:
• Uninstall the BlackBerry Enterprise Server software, and then install the BlackBerry Professional Software.
OR
• Uninstall and then reinstall the BlackBerry Professional Software.
2. During the installation process, at the Database Setting step, specify the following information:
• In the Database Location section, specify whether the existing BlackBerry Configuration Database is installed on the
same computer as the BlackBerry Professional Software (local) or on a different host computer (remote).
• In the Database Information section, type the Microsoft SQL Server name, which can be either the computer (NetBIOS)
name or the IP address of the computer that hosts the BlackBerry Configuration Database.
• Type the Database name of the existing BlackBerry Configuration Database. (The default name is BESMgmt.)
• In the Database Authentication section, select the type of authentication currently used to connect to the BlackBerry
Configuration Database.
