Advanced noise reduction at high ISO
for natural-looking results
Unlike other image processing systems, the
D3's doesn't sacrifice spectacular saturation
for advanced noise reduction. Low-noise
performance is an integral part of the D3's
core engineering, meaning that your D3 has
been strategically designed to minimize
image noise, long before you've selected the
noise reduction function. And at ISO settings
of 2000 and above, when High ISO NR is
set to on, the noise reduction function is
automatically activated to carefully minimize
mottling, color bleeding and shadow noise.
The result is rich images with natural tones
and without the plastic, artificial look so
typical of conventional noise reduction
images.
