WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment)
The EC Directive on WEEE aims to minimise the impact of electrical and electronic goods on
•
the environment, by increasing re-use and recycling and reducing the amount of WEEE going
into landfill.
In essence some of the chemicals and metals in electrical items can be harmful to the soil.
•
and human health when disposed of in landfill sites. By working together we can all reduce the
amount of landfill and resulting contamination.
The customer is responsible for disposing of the WEEE at the end of its useful life unless
•
otherwise agreed.
Please dispose of electrical and electronic equipment through a Designated Collection Facility
•
(DCF) where special facilities exist for correct disposal.
Regular maintenance
Routine checks and maintenance should be applied regularly to the ScrubKart as follows:
•
The boiler should be turned off, drained and cleaned. Refer to the manufacturers guide for the
•
correct procedure to follow.
Both the fresh water container and waste container should be thoroughly cleaned and
•
rinsed. They should be both empty and dry before being replaced and reconnected inside the
ScrubKart.
Disinfect and wipe down the ScrubKart inside and out, including related components and
•
accessories.
Remove any leftover soap from the soap dispenser and clean.
•
Disconnect any external water or electrical supply, and secure trailing leads on the unit.
