1. Switch off the steam generator and unplug it.
2. Remove the water tank and empty it.
3. Put the iron on the iron platform. Specific models only. push the carry Iock to Iock the
iron onto the platform.
4. Fold the supply hose and mains cord. Put them in their respective storage compartment
5. Specific models only: You can carry the appliance with one hand by the handle of the iron.
Do not carry the appliance by holding the water tank release lever.
POSSIBLE CAUSE
Steam has condensed on the ironing
board cover afler a Iong ironing
session.
The steam that was still pnesent in the
hose has cooled down and condensed
into waten.
The EASY DE-CALC knob is not
tightened properly.
Impurities or chemicals present in the
water have deposited in the steam
vents and/or on the soleplate.
Too much scale and minerals have ac-
cumulated inside the steam generator.
The surface to be ironed was uneven,
for instance because you were ironing
over a seam or a fold in the garment.
There is not enough water in the water
tank (the 'water tank empt/ iight
flashes).
The steam generator is not hot enough
to produce steam.
You did not press the steam trigger.
The watertank is not placed pnoperly in
the steam generator.
Water is pumped into the boiler inside
the steam generatorThis is normal.

can also add an extra layeroffeH: material underthe inoning board
cover to prevent condensation on the ironing board.
Point the iron away from the garment and Iet it produce steam for
a few seconds.
Swrt:ch off the appliance and wait fortwo hours fo steam
generator to cool down_Unscrewthe EASY DE-CALC knob reattach
it properly.
Note: Whenyouremove^eknob,watercomesout of the steam
generator: If steam continues to escape, switch off the appliance
and contact an authorised ARNICA service centre.
Descale the steam generator regularly. See section 'Cleaning the
soleplate7 in chapter *Cleaning and maintenance*.

Perfect Care is safe on all garments.The shine or imprint is not
permanent and will come ofF if you wash the garmentAvoid ironing
over seams or fold so ryou can place a cotton cloth over the area
to be ironed to avoid imprints.
Fill the watertank and press the steam trigger to Iet the appliance
heat up again.When the 'iron read/ light lights up continuously,you
can continue steam ironing.
Wait until the inon read light on the iron lights up continuously
Press the steam trigger and keep it pressed while you iron.
Slide the water tank firmly back into the steam generator ('click*).
If the pumping sound continues nonstop, switch off the steam
generator and remove the plug from the wall socket Contact an
authorised ARNICA service centre.
Fill the wate rtank and press the steam trigger to Iet the
appliance heat up again.When the *iron ready' light lights up
continuously, you can continue steam ironing.
