I9420 I/Port Overview
In typical ClearCube environments, A1410 and R1350 PC blades
are centrally–located in data centers. Each blade user has an I9420
I/Port on their desk, which is connected to a PC blade over an IP
network. The I9420 provides the interface to the blade. That is, the
user can connect monitors, pointing devices, and other peripherals
to the I9420 to receive peripheral data sent from a blade and to
send USB data to the blade.
Setting up Your I9420 I/Port
1. Place your I9420 on a desk or use the included mounting bracket to
mount the I9420, for example, under a desk or behind a monitor.
2. Connect the following to the I9420:
USB keyboard and pointing device using the USB ports on
the front or the rear of the I9420.
CAT5 or CAT6 Ethernet cable to the RJ-45 jack on the rear of the
I9420.
Monitor cable to each DVI-I port on the rear of the I9420.
Power adapter supplied with the I9420
3. Ensure that you have connected the power cable and AC adaptor
provided with your I9420. Connect the AC adapter to the I9420,
and then connect the power cable to a power outlet. Press the
power button to power on the I9420.

between the I9420 and a blade.
