At Signal Distribution
1.
Choose a s ui t able loc ation in the Conc ourse cabinet to install the HS-V M1100. The
recommended loc ation is near the v ideo c ombiner, e.g. HS-V H400. This installation
will requir e optional mounting br acket HS- MOD001 BRKT ( not supplied) and s mall
mounting plate HS-MP200 ( not s uppli e d).

Home run v ideo and audio patch c or ds from the s ource to the HS-VM1100. Note:
The s upplied c ords may not be long enough for s ome ins tallations.
3.
Connect the RF (video) output patch c ord from the video sourc e to the HS-VM1100
"VIDEO IN" jac k. See Figur e B.
4.
(Optional) Connec t the audio output patc h cord from the sourc e to the HS-VM1100
"AUDIO IN" (3.5 mm) j a c k. See Figur e B.
5.
Constr uct a coax patch cord, ter minating both ends of the coax c able w ith male F-
type c onnectors. Connect the coax patc h c ord to the " RF OUT" connector on the HS-
VM1100 and to an unus ed port of a cable combiner, e.g. HS-V H400. Pleas e refer to
the i n s tallation ins truc tions inc luded w ith the c ombiner to ins ure proper oper ation.
6.
Plug the provided 12 V DC, 250mA pow er supply into the pow er line and connect to
the HS-V M1100 " POWER IN" jac k.
Note: Us e only the A C adapter s upplied with the HS-VM1100.
Channel Select Pro gram m ing Instru ctions
1.
Using a paper clip or ball p oi n t pen tip, pr ess and hold the " SELECT" button until the
LED f las hes. Release the " SELECT" button. See Figur e A .
Pr ess the " CHA NNEL" p (up) or q (dow n) buttons to select the desir ed channel.

Channel selection can only take plac e w hile the LED is flashing. Y ou must selec t an
unused channel that is at least one c hannel removed from an ex i s ting channel, e.g. if
channel 87 is in us e, the near est channel you can s elect channel 89.
3.
Pr ess the "SEL ECT" button to fini s h pr ogramming. The LED w ill stop flashing. The
LED w ill stop flashing after a few seconds onc e a c hannel is selec ted even if the
"SELECT" button is not pressed.
Notes:
1. If the power goes off when the unit is in Channel Select Programming m ode, the selected
channel will not be stored in memory. Repeat s teps 1 through 3 above.
2. The channel display is a 2 -digit dis play. When the s elected channel is 2 digits , the display
will show the channel as s elected. If the channel selected i s a 3 digit channel, the display will
sho w the last two digits of the selected channel with a dot between the two digits. The third
digit "1" will not be shown. See Figure C.

Channel Range Settings
The dipsw itches on the front panel of the HS-V M1100 modulator are used to s elect the
range of channels av ailable. See figur e A.
There ar e three s ettings for the dipsw itches , UHF only, CA TV Ultr a only and UHF/CA TV
Ultra. See Figure D. The modulator is preset to the CA TV Ultra, Channels 65 to 135.
