Once you've established the HyperTerminal connection, Press and Hold the "Ack"
button on the front of the NetGuardian
o After a period of 10-20 seconds, you will access the unit's main menu.
Holding the "Ack" button will manually log you in to the 216's main TTY menu
Initializing the Unit
o Press C, then V to access the n(V)ram Initialize option.
o Press I to Initialize the unit.
o The unit will prompt you to confirm your selection. Type y to confirm.
Note: Initializing your unit will put it back to factory settings. If you do not have your unit's database
backed up, you will have to manually re-database the unit.
Log in to the TTY Interface.
o The default username is admin
o The default password is dpstelecom.
The NetGuardian 216 G3's Ack Button (Circled)
Initializing the NetGuardian will restore all settings to their factory defaults
