roller will not compress the tube properly. A "frozen"
roller, which does not turn on its shaft will abrade the
tube and cause premature tube failure.
Tube:
The pump tube should be replaced after 500
hours or 3 months storage. Before discarding, the tube
should be examined for abrasions and cuts. These con-
ditions can indicate wearing or malfunction of moving
parts.

Pump Tube Replacement

Please follow these steps for removal and replace-
ment of pump tubing in the DrizAir 120 Dehumidifier.
Inspect and replace tubing every 500 hours of opera-
tion.
1. Disconnect the power to the unit.
2. Open the front compartment door.
3. Disconnect the suction and discharge hoses from
the pump tube.
4. Unscrew the screws that hold the front plate of the
pump in place. Remove the front plate. The other
screws that attach the pump housing to the motor
base do not need to be removed.
5. Remove the used tubing in a "U" shaped pattern
clockwise, starting from the top left side. Discon-
nect the tube from the hose fittings.
6. Clean the roller race, removing any articles that
could damage tubing. Check the rollers for loose-
ness or binding. The rollers must fit snugly on the
shaft and spin freely. See the Troubleshooting sec-
tion for guidelines if a problem exists.
7. Insert the new tube into the inlet port, anchoring
the tube in grippers. As you insert the tube, rotate

the rollers clockwise so that the rollers follow the
tube as it is being inserted.
8. Continue to rotate the roller bracket assembly,
pushing the tube into the roller race.
9. Insert the tube into the outer port.
10. After complete installation of tube, ensure that
there is no excess tubing and that all slack is taken
up to avoid excessive wear. Re-check all connec-
tions and fittings.
11. Replace the front plate and secure with the four
screws. Run the pump to ensure correct operation.
When a new tube is installed there is an initial
break-in period before the tube "softens".
