Bit grounding test
The bit grounding test is performed on a running tool, rotating without load. The ground circuit stability and
performance is validated using a voltmeter.
To perform the test, place the tool in the rig and securely fastened. The bit grounding test bit is mounted
on the tested tool. The tool is connected to the controller and rotation speed is set to 200±10 rpm. The
voltmeter is connected to the test bit cable and to the outside of the tool connector with the alligator clamp.
