USE AND CARE INFORMATION
TIPS ON EVERYDAY USE AND CARE
TEMPERATURE CONTROL
:
The freezer temperature can be adjusted by the Cold Control Knob. Freezer temperature will become lower as the control knob is set closer to the
position. Freezer temperature will vary depending on the quantity of food stored and the frequency with which the door is opened. Ice cream can be used
as an indicator of freezer temperature. If it is too hard or too soft, adjust the Cold Control Knob accordingly.
HOW TO DEFROST
:
Remove contents from freezer. Keep drip tray in place. Set Cold Control knob to OFF position.
Defrosting may take up to several hours. To defrost faster:
* Leave door open
* Place pans of hot water on frosted shelves.
NEVER USE A KNIFE OR METAL OBJECT TO REMOVE FROST OR ICE, AS THIS MAY SEVERELY DAMAGE THE REFRIGERATION SYSTEM.
When defrosting is complete, remove drip tray and dispose of water. Set Cold Control back to original position.
FOR ALL CLEANING
: Mix 2 tablespoons baking soda or 2 tablespoons of mild soap with 1 quart warm water. No strong cleaners, scouring powder or
pads should be used. Do not put the defrost tray in dishwasher.
THINGS TO REMEMBER:
Allow 24 hours for your freezer to reach a new temperature setting.
1.
The motor will start and stop often. It must do so in order to maintain the temperature you select.
2.
