The batteries must not be recharged or reactivated

by other means, dismantled, thrown into a ﬁ re, im-

mersed in ﬂ uids, or short-circuited.

■

Only use the main unit which is supplied with the ar-

ticle. Do not use the main unit with another article.

■

Always install the article on a dry surface, a sufﬁ cient

distance away from heat sources, for example ovens

and heating systems.

■

Do not place any heavy objects on the article.

■

Do not place any containers ﬁ lled with liquid, for ex-

ample vases, on or directly next to the article.

■

Protect the article from heat, naked ﬂ ames, extreme

temperatures, persistent moisture, wet conditions

and collisions.

■

The article must not be used if the LED light strip, the

low-voltage connecting cable or the main unit display

visible damage.

■

The individual LEDs cannot be replaced.

■

Do not use any corrosive or abrasive cleaning agents

to clean the article. These can damage the surface.

Wipe down the article if necessary using a soft, dry

cloth.

Inserting / Changing the Battery

In addition, 4 x 1.5 V batteries, AAA type are

required. These are not supplied with the article.

1. Slide the battery compartment cover in the direction

of the arrow and remove it.

2. Take the used batteries out if necessary and insert

4 x 1.5 V batteries of the AAA type. Pay attention to

the correct polarity (+ / –).

3. Place the battery compartment cover back on and

slide it shut as far as it will go. You must hear and feel

it engage.

Putting Into Operation

Keep the packaging material away from children and

animals.

Risk of dazzling! Never look directly into the light

source! This could damage your eyes.

Customer Service / Importer:

1. Unpack – Unpack all parts and check the items sup-

plied for completeness (see the "Items Supplied and

Article Overview" chapter) and possible transport

damage. If you ﬁ nd any damage to the components,

do not (!) use them, but contact our customer service

department.

2. Shorten the LED light strip – If necessary, the LED

light strip can be cut to size at the points marked with

scissors. IMPORTANT: Start measuring from the

low-voltage connecting cable!

3. Clean surfaces – To ensure that the LED light strip

and the hook-and-loop fastener stick ﬁ rmly, the sur-

face to which they are stuck must be smooth, dry, and

free of any dust, grease or dirt.

4. Afﬁ x the LED light strip and hook-and-loop

fastener – Carefully remove the protective ﬁ lm from

the LED light strip bit by bit and stick it to the surface

you want. Proceed in the same way with the hook-

and-loop fastener of the main unit.

5. Choose mode – The article has two modes:

automatic (AUTO) and manual (MAN) mode. Slide

the AUTO / MAN switch to the position you want.

In AUTO mode, the LEDs switch on automatically

when the motion detector registers a movement.

The LEDs switch off again after around 10 sec-

onds without registering a movement.

6. Switch on / off – Press the On / Off switch to switch

on the article. To switch off the article, press the On /

Off switch again.

7. Secure main unit – If you have not already done so,

secure the main unit on the hook-and-loop fastener.

Disposal

The packaging material is recyclable. Dispose of

the packaging in an environmentally friendly man-

ner and take it to a recycling centre.

Dispose of the article in an environmentally

friendly manner at a recycling centre for used

electrical and electronic devices. It should not be

disposed of in the normal household waste. More

information is available from your local authorities.

The batteries should be removed prior to disposal

of the article and disposed of separately. To protect

the environment, non-rechargeable and recharge-

able batteries must not be disposed of with normal

household waste, but must be taken to suitable

collection points. Also note the relevant statutory

regulations governing the disposal of batteries.
