IMPORTANT NOTES

This product is a decoration. It is not a toy!

The product is designed for domestic use and is not intended

for commercial use. Only use the item as instructed. Any other

use is deemed improper.

■

Risk of suffocation! Keep the packaging away from the

children and pets.

■

Swallowing batteries poses a risk of death! Therefore keep

batteries and the product out of the reach of children and pets.

Should a battery be swallowed seek medical help immediately.

■

Before inserting the batteries check that the contacts in the

candle and on the batteries are clean and, if necessary, clean

them.

■

Use only the batteries speciﬁ ed in the technical data.

■

Always replace all batteries at the same time. Do not mix

different types or brands of battery or batteries of varying

capacities. When changing the batteries, ensure that the

polarity (+ / –) is correct.

■

Remove the batteries from the candle if they are used up or if

you are not using the product. This will prevent damage which

can be caused by leakage.

■

If a battery has leaked, avoid contact of the battery acid with

skin, eyes and mucus membranes. In case of contact with

battery acid, rinse the affected area immediately with plenty

of clear water and seek a doctor at once. Take any leaking

batteries out of the product immediately. Clean the contacts

before inserting new batteries.

■

The batteries should not be recharged or reactivated by any

other means, taken apart, thrown on a ﬁ re, immersed in liquid

or short-circuited.

■

Do not subject the product to extreme temperatures, severe

changes in temperatures, direct sunlight or moisture.

■

Keep a sufﬁ cient distance from heat sources, e. g. hobs, ovens,

ﬁ re places or burning candles.

■

Do not allow the product to fall and do not subject it to strong

percussions.

■

Only use the product in enclosed areas.

■

Ensure that the product does not fall in water or is at risk of

getting wet. When cleaning, dust off the product with a soft,

dry cloth. Heavily laden dirt can be wiped off with a damp cloth.

■

Store the product in an area that is out of the reach of children

and pets and that is not exposed to direct sunlight.

■

In the event the product is defective, do not attempt to repair it

yourself. In the event of damage, contact the customer service.

Warranty Provisions

Defects caused by improper handling, damage or attempts at

repair are excluded from the warranty. This also applies to normal

wear and tear.

Putting into Operation

1. Unpack all parts. Check that the product contents do not exhibit

any transport damages. Should you identify any transport

damages, do not use the product (!), instead please promptly

consult the customer service.

2. Open the battery compartment on the bottom of the candle:

Press the catch toward the battery compartment cover and

remove the cover.

3. Insert the batteries. You need 2 x 1.5 V batteries of the AA type

for each candle. Pay attention to the correct polarity (+/–).

4. Fit the battery compartment cover again and press it down

until it engages audibly.

5. Push the switch on the bottom of the candle to the COLOR

(colour change) or the FLICKER (white ﬂ ickering light)

position to switch it on. In both positions the candle switches

off automatically after 5 hours. However, you can switch it on

anytime by pushing its switch to the OFF position and then to

the COLOR or FLICKER position again.

6. Push the switch to the OFF position to switch the candle off.

If the performance of the candles diminishes, the batteries should

be replaced.

Disposal

The packaging material is recyclable. Dispose of the

packaging in an environmentally-friendly manner and

make it available to the collection service for recyclable

materials.

manner. The product does not belong in the household

garbage. Dispose of it at a recycling centre for old electric

and electronic equipment. For more information, please

contact the administration in your community.

Batteries and rechargeable batteries must be removed

and disposed of separately before disposing of the

product. To protect the environment, batteries and

rechargeable batteries may not be disposed of together

with normal household waste. Instead they must be turned

in at appropriate collection points. Please also observe

applicable statutory provisions regulating the disposal of

batteries.
