FEATURES:
The Attwood 2-Way Faucet/Hand Pump is an efficient, low cost
water pump designed to satisfy the needs of the boatman or
recreational vehicle owner for an attractive and functional source
for dispensing of fresh water.
The pump pumps water from the boat's own water supply tank
or as an ordinary faucet where pressure comes from a city water
supply. The knob serves to control the flow of water or as a hand
operated up and down motion pump.
Included are 3/8" ID fitting and compression fitting for 1/2" stan-
dard plumbing fitting and nut.
Attwood marine hardware, navigation lighting, interior lighting, bilge
pumps, and other marine accessories are specified more than any
other brand by America's best-known boat manufacturers as original
equipment. Look to Attwood for quality replacement parts and add-on
marine accessories.
CAUTION:
To prevent personal injury always disconnect power
source before servicing or installing this product.
To prevent personal injury and water damage, shut off all
water to pump before servicing.
CAUTION:
Do not use synthetic rubber sealant (Silicone, RTV, etc.) or
any sealant which smells like vinegar to seal the pump or
its fittings. Use of these materials may cause the pump to
crack. It is best to use plumbers teflon tape where
required.
TOOLS AND MATERIALS REQUIRED:
1. Drill (3/8" or larger).
2. 3/16" diameter drill bit.
3. 1-3/8" diameter hole.
4. Channel lock pliers.
5. Hose clamp (optional).

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Select a suitable location for hand pump, keeping in mind
that there must be at least a 2-1/2" clearance from front to
back and 5" from the bottom inlet to the counter top. The
mounting hole dimensions and (optional) screw layout are
shown in Figure 1.
2. Using template provided in Figure 1, drill a 3/16" diameter
hole. Next, using a hole saw, cut a 1-3/8" diameter hole.
3. Make certain the faucet knob is fully
down and turned clockwise until finger
tight. This will insure that the shaft nut
will stay in place within the threaded
section of the faucet. NOTE: If the shaft
nut falls out, insert it back into the faucet
with the word "UP" (which appears on
nut) in first.
4. Remove the bottom threaded cap,
flapper check valve and disk. Set aside.
Remove the large nut. Slide the faucet,
with gasket in place, into the 1-3/8"
hole while guiding the locator pin into
its 3/16" hole.
5. Reinstall the large retaining nut and
tighten it by hand, then 1/4 turn more.
DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN.
6. Reinstall disk, flapper check valve and
bottom threaded cap. Hint: Use a drop of cooking oil to hold
the disk in the center of the flapper check valve. Tighten the
bottom cap by hand.
7. Secure water connection using either 3/8" ID tubing
(securing with hose clamp) or female pipe connection.
8. To install this pump it is necessary that, if city water
hook-up is provided, a check tee check valve, such as the
Attwood 6115-1 or 6115A1 be installed to prevent city water
overflow through the entire system and to prevent back flow
into the supply tank. (See Figure 2)
NOTE: When connecting to city water pressure it is recommend-
ed that a 30-40 PSI pressure reducing valve be installed.
(See Figure 2)
