Troubleshooting
Refer to the table below in the event of problems with the I/P Converter .
If the action described below does not restore the transducer to normal operation, replace the I/P
Converter with a spare and contact us.
Symptom
I/P Converter
does not operate
when an input
signal is applied.
Output is
unstable.
Large output

Cause
Fixed orifice is blocked.
I/P Converter
is set to manual
operation.
Polarity of input signal wiring is
reversed.
No air supply
Pilot relay is faulty.
Large fluctuation in air supply
pressure
The pressure leakage (volume) on
the output circuit side is fluctuating.
Pilot relay is faulty.
Zero and span settings are out of
adjustment.
Large fluctuation in ambient
temperature
Pressure leak in output circuit
Action
Clean or replace fixed
orifice.
Change to Auto (A)
operation.
Check wiring and
connections.
Supply 140kPa
(1.4kgf/cm[2])
Inspect and/or replace
pilot relay.
Ensure air supply
pressure is constant.
Check for pressure leaks.
Inspect and/or replace
pilot relay.
Re-adjust zero and span
settings.
Fit thermal insulation or
similar.
Fix pressure leak.
