4. Store karaoke songs in your device
From the previous steps, you should now have a folder in your PC with karaoke song files in the
format of MCG-MP3 (for example, 20001234-mcg.mp3). The karaoke song files could have been
downloaded from the online website or extracted from CD+G discs. You should also have your
device (iPod®, MP3 player, other USB devices) connected to the PC.
The MCG-MP3 karaoke song files can be stored into your device (iPod®, MP3 player, or other
USB devices) for play in File Library system or INX menu system of CAVS IPS-11G.

When playing the songs in CAVS IPS-11G, the File Library system, which is basically a
DOS file menu, will let you browse through the files and folders in your device. For the
instruction on how to play karaoke songs, see Section 7. Karaoke in the
CAVS IPS-11G.
The advantage of File Library system is that it is simple and easy to use. The
disadvantage of using File Library system is that the number of songs per folder is limited
at 1,000, and the finding or selecting a song using directional buttons becomes
cumbersome as the number of songs increases.
