IMPORTANT: Improper grounding method can result in a risk of electrical shock. The machine must be grounded
If the machine should malfunction, the grounding provides a path of least resistance for
electrical shock. This machine contains a cord with an equipment-grounding conductor
and grounding plug. This plug must be plugged into an appropriate outlet which is properly
installed in accordance with all local code and ordinances.
Check with a qualified electrician or service person if you are in doubt as to whether the
outlet is properly grounded. Do not modify the plug provided with the machine. If it will
not fit the outlet, have a proper outlet installed by a qualified electrician. If a repair or
replacement of the cord or plug is necessary, do not connect the grounded wire to an
ungrounded terminal. The grounding wire is the wire with the insulation and an outer
green surface, with or without yellow stripes.
• This machine is for use on a 120-volt circuit, and has a grounding plug with a grounding pin.
• Grounding adapters are not permitted/approved for use in Canada.
• Replace the grounding plug if the grounding pin is damaged or broken.
