Gearbox

The TF 220 has been delivered with two

gearbox versions.

The top one (BYPY) has been delivered to

serial number 10040.

The bottom one (GB) has been delivered from

serial number 10041.

Recommended oil: Gearbox oil Mereta 150

synthetic oil (Statoil) or Esso Syntetic EP150.

Other oil must fit to the standard SAE90EP or

GL5

Mereta 150 - 2.5 ltr. has item no. 531 0 110

Check the oil level after 50 operating hours or

after each season by loosening the level

screw marked B (bottom) as illustrated in the

sketch (oil should leak out at a sufficient

level).

If the oil level requires refilling, if necessary,

refill with semi-synthetic oil Statoil Gearway

S5 75W-90 up to the indicated level or with

Mereta 150.

Refilling is carried out through screw opening

The first oil change is recommended after 50

hours of use, and then every second season,

or after 500 operating hours - i.e. if 500

operating hours occur before the end of the

2nd season, an oil change with Mereta 150

should be carried out as indicated.

Gearbox BYPY contains 1.2 liters of oil.

Gearbox GB contains 1.1 liters of oil.

Gearbox Bondioli contains 0.9 liters oil.

It is an advantage to change the oil when the

gearbox is warm.

Draining of oil takes place at the opposite plug

to the plug marked A.

NB During this operation, the snowblower

must be raised using fall protection

equipment. An alternative would be to do this

operation in the grease pit.

It is very important to fill the gearbox with

the correct amount of oil .

Too much oil will lead to a higher operating

temperature and risk of breakdown.

The oil level is checked by loosening screw B

when the gearbox is in a horizontal position.
