Tip#5: As an added safety measure, the cooker will NOT heat up if the lid is
not properly closed and engaging the safety switch on the rim of the cooker.
(Please see parts identification on page 4 for location of safety switch).
*CAUTION: To avoid the risk of burns, NEVER touch the glass viewing
window on the lid during use. Keep face and hands away from the lid
opening. Please use extreme caution when placing hands near or on top of
the lid due to high temperatures. When opening the lid, keep hands away
from the opening and escaping steam. It is recommended to use an oven
mitt.
The inner pot of the cooker is equipped with Non-Stick Coating. To prevent
damage to the coating and to the inner pot, please use only non-metal
utensils inside of the inner pot.
Tip#6: It is important that the outside surface of the inner pot is completely
clean and dry before it is placed into the cooker. Water, food, or other
substances on the pot will come into contact with the heating element and
may cause damage to the product.

Tip#7: Your Smart n' Healthy Cooker features a Touch Pad Digital Control Panel.
Use your finger to lightly touch/press the buttons on your cooker when making
selections. It is not recommended to push down firmly on the buttons as this may
lead to damaging the control panel of your cooker.

POWER: Turns the unit on and off. Red Indicator light blinks when the unit is plugged into a
power outlet, this means the unit is in standby. The POWER button can be used at any time to
cancel any selection or to stop cooking.

SETTING: Allows you to select the various functions that the unit features. Simply touch this
button to scroll through and select your desired function.

DELAY/COOK TIME: This button has 3 purposes:
1.
It can be used to increase the time of a Pre-set Function (Meat/Fish, Vegetables).
2.
It can also be used to set the time for the Delay Timer (delays the start of cooking
by up to 24 hours).
3.
Lastly, it can be used to Manually Set Cooking Time.
When used to set the time for the Delay Timer function, the time will be set in increments of 30
minutes and can be set to delay the start of cooking by up to 24 hours. For increasing cooking
time on a Pre-set Function or on the Manually Set Time function, the time will be set in
increments of 1 minute or, if the button is held down, in increments of 10 minutes for up to 4
hours.
•
THE BOIL INDICATOR LIGHT illuminates blue when the unit is boiling. This light will turn on
and off as the unit fluctuates between heating and maintaining its temperature.
Tip#8: When using the Pre-set "Rice" function, time cannot be adjusted manually.
