3.2 Mains (Power-) Connection
(Additional safety advice!)
As the machine is to be used with water, it
must only be operated with an isolating
(safety-) transformer or in connection with
the personal safety-switches "PRCD".
The personal safety-switch is to be
checked as follows before every opera-
tion:
(a) Operate switch "ON" while power plug is
connected to main power supply - red opera-
tion-light comes on.
(b) Operate "TEST"-key - personal safety
device switches off, red operation-light
comes off.
(c) After renewed switching on, the machine
should now be operating.
(d) Should the personal safety switch not
come on in this routine, or should it switch
off repeatedly when machine is in operation,
the whole combination of devices must be
checked.
The voltage shown on the machine-label
must correspond with your local power sup-
ply.

4. Switching on and off

Switching on: Push the red switch forward
and upward.
Switching off: To unlock, press the grey
part of the switch upward. The switch will
automatically move back to "0".

5. Electronic Device

The speed of rotation is adjusted electroni-
cally when the load increases.
In case of a longer overload period the
speed is decreased electronically. The ma-
chine continues to run slowly to cool down
the motor coil. After switching off and on, the
machine can be used at rated load.
The duration of cooling-down period
depends on the grade of overload.
Under the effect of extreme electro-magnetic
interferences from the outside, temporary
variations in the speed of rotation could arise
in particular cases.
6. Smooth Start
The electronic smooth start feature
prolonges the life of both motor and gear,
power input at start-up is reduced by approx-
imately half.
7. Accessories
Please refer to our catalogue for a range of
accessories along with order-numbers.
8. Service
Keep the machine and the ventilation slots
clean.
Use only GALESKI accessories and spare
parts. Should components need to be ex-
changed which have not been described,
please contact GALESKI company.
If needed, a listing of the machine parts with
picture can be requested from GALESKI
company. Please indicate machine type and
serial-number found on rating label of ma-
chine.
9. Using the Machines
Carefully consider information given by tool-
manufacturer as to proper tool-speed.
We do not accept liability for any damage
caused by operating tools with improper
speed.
Never use machine for any dry grinding
or polishing! (The sealing rings need wa-
ter for cooling.)
Handling:
1. Step: Shaping
First mount the pre-milling cylinder GADIA
CYLI G 50 (coarse). Turn speed adjustment
wheel to pos. G. Adjust the position of the
cylinder in relation to the slab by means of
height adjustment, taking into account oscil-
lating movement of cylinder when mounted
on grinding head "RS".
To watch the oscillating motion during stand-
still of the machine, fix the working spindle
(10) by the spindle lock (1) and turn the
cylinder body manually.
The coating of the cylinder should cover the
entire slab thickness. Open and adjust the
water supply, switch the machine to on and
start working with steady, even right/left mo-
tions until the desired shape is reached.
Work over same area again briefly with pre-
