Cleaning and maintenance

Attention
All cleaning and maintenance should be performed when the appliance is cold and the gas supply is turned
off in the gas bottle.
Cleaning
Letting the grill burn after each use (for approximately 15 minutes) will keep excess food waste to a minimum.
External surface
Use a hot water solution with a mild detergent or baking soda. For stubborn stains, use a non-abrasive
powder detergent and rinse with water.
If the inside surface of the lid looks like "peeling" paint, it means that the accumulation of fat has turned
to charcoal and is flaking off. Clean thoroughly with a solution of hot water and strong detergent.
Rinse with water and allow to dry completely. Never use detergent for ovens.
Lower part of the grill
Remove residues using a brush, spatula and/or cleaning sponge and then wash with a soap and water
solution. Rinse with water and allow to dry.
Plastic surfaces
Wash with a soft cloth and a solution of warm soapy water. Rinse with water. Do not use abrasive,
degreasing or concentrated grill detergents on plastic parts.
Grill
Use a mild detergent water solution. For stubborn stains, use a non-abrasive powder detergent and rinse
with water.
Cleaning the burner
1.
Turn the knob to the OFF position and turn off the gas bottle.
2.
Remove the ventilation grill.
3.
Clean the burner with a soft bristle brush or use compressed air and a cleaning cloth.
4. Clean any clogged spots with a pipe cleaner or strong wire (for example, an open paperclip).
5.
Check the burner for damage (cracks or holes). If damage is found, replace with a new burner.
Replace burner, make sure gas valve holes are correctly positioned and secured inside burner inlet (tube).
In some cases, your grill may not light due to the presence of an insect or spider web in the burner tube.
You can remedy this by inserting a brush across the length of the burner tube. If the problem persists,
contact your gas supplier.

Maintenance

Your gas grill should be serviced annually by a qualified and certified technician.
