Drill the spindle hole

next with a 1-1/8"

hole saw. Drill to the

mortise pocket on

both sides of the

door. When drilling

pull the hole saw out

of the cut several

times to clear the

chips, use a low

rpm.

Drill the mortise cylinder hole

with a 1-1/4" hole saw. Drill to

the mortise pocket only on

the side of the door that the

cylinder will be on. When

drilling pull the hole saw out

of the cut several times to

clear the chips, use a low

rpm.

Drill the thumb turn hole with a

3/4" hole saw. Drill to the mor-

tise pocket only on the side of

the door that the thumb turn will

be on. When drilling pull the

hole saw out of the cut several

times to clear the chips, use a

low rpm.
