Troubleshooting

For proper operation of the pressure filter, the nozzle array must be turned to the "WORK" position ( Fig.2). In

this position, water coming in from the pond (pump side) should flow through the nozzle marked "IN ( Fig.3)".

Water leaving the filter will exit from the nozzle marked "OUT". The water should be directed back into the

pond through a spitter, waterfall, fountain or other water feather.

A self-cleaning feature has been included in the PF1600UV design. It can be activated by turning the nozzle

array counterclockwise to the position marked "CLEAN (Fig.3)". This feature reverses the flow of water and

flushes the filter system to push out any dirt and sediment that may have accumulated in the pressure filter.

Dirty water will exit the filter from the nozzle marked "DIRT". A length of tubing should be connected to the

nozzle marked "DIRT". The tubing should be directed away from your pond. Occasional flushing of the

system is recommended.
