To ensure that the pump can draw in water, the level must be above
the minimum water level at start-up (see 8. Technical Data).
The pump remains constantly in operation because it is switched on
manually by raising the float switch.
1. Stand the pump on a firm surface
– or –
use a rope attached through the bore hole in the carrying

to immerse the pump in a well or shaft.

As long as the float switch is positioned vertically above the
pump, the pump will operate regardless of the water level.
The minimum residual water depth (see 8. Technical Data) is only
achieved in manual mode because the float switch already switches
off the pump before this when in automatic mode.
v Clean and store the pump in a frost-free place before the first frost
arrives.
The product must not be added to normal household waste.
It must be disposed of in line with local environmental regulations.
v Important: Make sure that the unit is disposed of via your municipal
recycling collection centre.
The GARDENA should not require regular maintenance.
After pumping pumped chlorinated swimming pool water or other
liquids leaving residues, the pump should be rinsed with clear water.
