1. Setting the Paper Separation Force
If multifeeds, picking errors or paper jams occur
frequently, adjust the paper separation force setting by
using the up and down buttons on the Operator Panel.
(Under normal circumstances, use the default setting
which is 3.)
When multifeeds occur frequently
Increase the paper separation force
(increase it level by level)
When picking errors or paper jams occur
frequently
Decrease the paper separation force
(decrease it level by level)

2. Setting the Stacker Paper Stop and
Stacker Side Guides
Stacker has two paper stops and stacker side guides
located on its each side. By using them efficiently, you
can align the documents more neatly.

Leave a space of approximately 20 mm
between the paper stop and the largest
document size.

3. How to place documents of different
widths
The Hopper Side Guides are initially set to slide
symmetrically but if one of the side guides is locked,
the other side guide can be moved separately.
This function is useful when scanning mixed
documents of different sizes.

entire top edges fit within the width above
(approx. 64 mm).
