Cleaning and care
Before cleaning, disconnect the machine
from the power supply via the power main
switch.
Do not use a high pressure cleaner or
water jet to clean the machine.
Cleaning the exterior
All surfaces can be cleaned with warm water
and a little liquid dish soap applied with a
soft sponge.
Wipe dry using a soft cloth.
Stainless steel
Stainless steel surfaces can be cleaned us-
ing a non-abrasive stainless steel cleaner.
To help prevent resoiling, a conditioner for
stainless steel can also be used.
Apply sparingly with even pressure.

Never use abrasive cleaners, scouring
pads, steel wool or caustic cleaners.
They will damage the surface.
Cleaning the drum
^ After drying starched laundry the drum
should be wiped out with a soft, damp
cloth.

Cleaning the filter
^ Clean the lint filter a at least once a day
and when the "Clean lint filter" indicator
light comes on. Do not remove the lint filter.
Scoop out the lint and be careful not to
damage the filter.
Yearly maintenance
The following should be checked and if nec-
essary serviced once a year by an autho-
rized Miele technician:
– Heater element and heater shaft.
– The whole interior of the tumble dryer
– Fins on the ventilation fan
If proper maintenance is not performed reg-
ularly the machine may be damaged and
operational faults posing a fire hazard could
occur.
