The R1 counts the cells in 0.5 µL, which is comparable to five (1 mm x 1 mm) squares on a standard
hemocytometer.
Counting time will vary with protocol, cell size, and cell concentration. With the DEFAULT protocol, cell samples
with a concentration of ~1 x 10
cell/mL will take at minimum 10 seconds to count without autofocusing or 15

seconds with autofocusing.
Cell count and viability results will appear.
