In the following example, the timer is set to send updates every 30 seconds and a show cdp interface command is used to verify that
the update is effective:

The following example shows a series of commands that you can use to view Cisco Discovery Protocol information:

Purpose
• The detail keyword displays information about the native VLAN
ID, the duplex mode, and the VTP domain name associated with
neighboring devices.
Displays information about Cisco Discovery Protocol traffic, including
the number of packets sent and received and checksum errors.
Displays information about the types of debugging that are enabled
for the device.
