Functioning
The AMV3000 AV3007 device has different functions depending on the kind of connection.
There are 4 kinds of connections:
Differential – differential amplifier
The connection diagram is described in fig. 2.
The device - directly supplied from wires 1 and 3 – amplifies the signal from a video group according to gain and emphasis
settings.
Gain control improves the picture contrast by restoring the dynamics of a video signal deteriorated over distance.
The emphasis control improves the B/W sharpness.
In colour systems with long distances, the emphasis control restores colour information to a video signal that may have been
deteriorated by line losses.
Differential-coaxial converter and adjustable amplifier
The connection diagram is described in fig.3.
The device – requiring a 12 to 20Vdc supply –adapts a BITRON VIDEO differential video signal for a CCTV monitor or a
television set (through its SCART connector).
Gain and emphasis controls allow to optimise the video signal level.
Differential - coaxial converter with steady 0dB amplification
The connection diagram is described in fig. 4.
The device - requiring 12 to 20Vdc supply – converts a standard CCTV video signal into a differential signal suitable for a
BITRON VIDEO video doorphone system.
By connecting its output to an image selector (relay), it is possible to integrate additional surveillance cameras into a video
doorphone system
Gain and emphasis controls are disabled and the gain is fixed at 0dB to prevent saturation of the signal when the converter is
installed closed to the CCTV camera.
Coaxial –coaxial amplifier
The connecting diagram is described in fig. 5.
The device - 12 to 20Vdc supplied - is used to amplify a standard signal from a CCTV camera while adjusting gain and
emphasis independently.
