Easy & Speedy, USB Display Function
Simple connectivity
Projection begins immediately by simply connecting the projector
to a PC using the included USB cable (1.8m).
Support for smoother presentations
Mouse control and page up/down function can be operated using
the projector's remote controller. Presentations can be done away
from the PC itself.*
* Not supported by Mac OS. Sound cannot be sent from the PC to the projector.

panels about the size of a postage
stamp then use the projector's lens to
expand the minute details within the
images. Thus, the projector is able to
reproduce a wide gamut of colours to
project clear, detailed and beautiful
images with ultra-smooth movement
onto the viewing surface. This is the
defining characteristic of 3LCD systems.
3-panel LCD system technology by Epson
A projector which uses the 3-panel LCD system breaks light waves
that are produced by the lamp into the three primary colours, red,
green and blue. Each of the three colours of light is then passed
through its own LCD panel to provide images in full time colour with
silky smooth movement. The three colours of light are then are
recombined through a prism to give the images the rich, full colour
which is projected onto the viewing surface without the possibility
of colour break-up.
The technology behind other projectors
In business projectors, after the 3LCD projector system, the second
most common type of projectors is the 1-chip DLP

high market share against several Epson 3LCD business projectors with similar specifications and prices.

Advancement of 3LCD Projectors
The world of imaging technology is constantly evolving and 3LCD
projectors are evolving right alongside to bring you more detailed
and beautiful images. 3LCD projectors bring wonder and excitement
to the world of imaging.

Highly Reliable
The high reliability of 3LCD projectors is a matter of great pride for
Epson. A major factor in the dependability of our products is that
they contain no moving mechanical parts in the light control system.
We believe that being the number one projector brand worldwide in
2005 (source: Decision Tree Consulting ) is a tribute to customers'
trust in the reliability of our 3LCD projector systems.
Broadening the Reach of 3LCD Projectors
3LCD projectors continue to be the most widely used projectors in
the world. Many different projector manufacturers adopt 3LCD due
to its overwhelmingly solid reputation. The fact that more than
14million front projectors units have sold worldwide over the past
18 years is a testament to customers' trust in the technology and
understanding of the stunningly beautiful images LCDs project.

bright images.
The most important thing is to reproduce the bright colour
of projected images.
Dichroic Mirror
The lumens detailed in the catalogue refer to the brightness of a
projected image's "full-white" area. Luminance of colours, however,
is also very important in a projector. 3LCD projectors offer superior
colour luminance, producing vivid and sharp colour images. These
capabilities enable them to provide more effective support than ever
before in business presenrtations, which increasingly make use of
colour in images such as photographs and charts broken down by
colour.
Even though the brightness (brightness of
white) described on catalogue is the same,
brightness of colour differs depending on

Colour reproduction and gradation
Image showing smooth colour gradation
3LCD projectors deliver natural images and
faithfully reproduce primary colours across
a wide spectrum. Another important element
of proper image projection is smooth colour
gradation. 3LCD projectors display excellent

gradation along with smooth colour change.
They project a broad array of presentation
materials, such as photographic images,
with a truly natural look and feel, so that
they can be used effectively in all manner

Easy on the eyes
Image showing colour break-up
Colour break-up, which occurs in field
sequential colour projection technology,
arises from the relationship between the
motion of an image on a screen and the
motion of the viewer's eyes. This causes
the image to suffer from a "rainbow-like"

effect. 3LCD projectors, however, do not
sufer from the effect but instead produce
images that are easy on the eyes.

Smooth video playback

3LCD projectors use three separate liquid
crystal panels-one red, one green and one
blue-which they use for the continuous
combination of the colours. In fast-moving
images, 3LCD projectors produce a smooth

breaking up into multiple lines. This smooth
video playback contributes to making
effective presentations.
