3.2.6 USB (USB1, USB2, USB3)

The 3 USB interfaces USB1, USB2 and USB3 are equal and serve as connection to different peripheric

devices like USB keyboard, USB mouse, USB memory stick etc.

Standard configuration according to USB 2.0 standard:

Maximum current: 500 mA each

The maximum power consumption should be observed, see Section 3.2.8.

The external antenna connection is of no relevance.

The external antenna is not supported and is deactivated.

NOTE

The maximum power consumption of all external devices connected at the 2 COM interfaces, the 3 USB

interfaces and the PS/2 interface must not exceed 8 Watts, because the internal power supply of the device

has its own power limitation. If you plug an external device e.g. a scanner to the MFT please check that the

total power consumption of all external devices does not exceed 8W.

When connecting external devices to the interfaces, the electrical isolation of the voltage supply ceases to be

effective if the external device has an electrically conductive connection to the supply circuit.

The MFT920 is equipped with an internal voltage stabiliser which continues to supply the device with voltage

in the event of sporadic voltage drops of less than 3 seconds.
