2.2.9 Choose an Installation Method
The simplest way to install the embedded application is to use the MFP web administration
interface. This allows you to the upload the embedded application to the device remotely.
To perform the web-based install follow the steps in section 2.2.10 "Installing Application
using Ricoh Web Admin".
An alternate installation method is to install via the Java SD card. This involves copying the
application to the Java SD card using an SD card reader connected to a workstation. This is
more time-consuming than the web install, because it requires physically removing the SD
card from each MFD device. To install using the Java SD card, follow the instructions in
section 2.2.11 "Installing application using the Ricoh Java SD card".
