THIS PRODUCT IS FOR PROFESSIONAL USE

SONY ELECTRONICS INC. ("Sony") warrants this Product against defects in material or workmanship, as follows:

A. Labor:

For a period of ninety (90) days from the date of purchase, Sony will, at no charge, repair this Product if

determined by Sony to be defective. After the warranty period, the Purchaser must pay all labor charges.

B. Parts:

For a period of one (1) year from the date of purchase Sony will, at no charge, supply new or rebuilt replacements

for parts determined by Sony to be defective. After the warranty period, the Purchaser must pay all parts charges.

Warranty coverage is only valid within the United States, excluding territories.

LIMITED PRODUCT WARRANTY

LIMITED WARRANTY COVERAGE PERIOD

One (1) year

One (1) year, except a) VTR Drum assembly, which is warranted for ninety (90) days, and b) DSR-85

VTR Drum Assembly, which is warranted for 1500 Drum rotation hours or ninety (90) days, whichever

occurs first.

One (1) year, except hybrid Hard Disk Drive which is warranty for five (5) years.

One (1) year, except DVW Mid-Drum Assembly, which is warranted for 1,500 operating hours or one (1)

year, whichever occurs first. During warranty period, full credit towards replacement provided for the first

1,000 hours, and if operating hours exceeds 1,000 then credit towards replacement prorated as follows:

Credit = Current Assy Price x (1,500 Hours -Actual Head Usage Hours)

One (1) year, except MSW Rotary Upper Drum Assembly, which is warranted for 1,500 operating hours

or one (1) year, whichever occurs first. During warranty period, full credit towards replacement provided

for the first 1,000 hours and if operating hours exceeds 1000 then credit towards replacement prorated as

follows:

Credit = Current Assy Price x (1,500 Hours -Actual Head Usage Hours)

One (1) year, except Rotary Upper Drum Assembly and HDW Mid-Drum Assembly, which is warranted

for 1,500 operating hours or one (1) year, whichever occurs first. During warranty period, full credit

towards replacement provided for the first 500 hours and if operating hours exceeds 500 then, credit

towards replacement prorated as follows:

Credit = Current Assy Price x (1,500 Hours -Actual Head Usage Hours)

One (1) year

One (1) year , except the Optical Drive System which consists of the BRD-P1, BRD-P2, BRD-P200

assemblies, optical laser block, loader and seek motor which are warranted for seven (7) years parts &

labor.

Two (2) years

Product warranty inclusions:

• Priority Depot service.

• Periodic maintenance performed per manufacture specifications.

• Software support including priority telephone support.

• Toll-free telephone technical support during normal business hours; 8:30 A.M. -8 P.M. EST (English

language) or 8:30 A.M. – 5:00 P.M. EST (Spanish language) except Sony holidays.

Two (2) years

• Priority Depot service.

• Periodic maintenance performed per manufacture specifications.

• Software support including priority telephone support.

• Toll-free telephone technical support during normal business hours; 8:30 A.M. -8 P.M. EST (English

language) or 8:30 A.M. – 5:00 P.M. EST (Spanish language) except Sony holidays.
