PRIOR
TO
USE
Before
inserting
a
cassette
into the player, look through
the
cassette
window
to make sure there
is no
excess slack (several
loose turns).
lf
necessary, insert
a
pencil or
a
similar
object
into the
reel
hub as
shown
in Fig. 1
and rotate
it
to wind
up the
slack.
A
small
amountof
slackwill
notcause malfunction
TO RELEASE FAST FORWARD OR
REWIND
To
release fast
forward or rewind operations,
be
sure
to
press
Release button
first, forcing
Fast Forward/Bewind
knob
may
damage
the
car stereo.
WHEN THE CASSETTE
IS
AUTO
EJECTED
At
the
completion
of
the tape, or when the tape
is
fully wound
through
fast forward
operation,
the
cassette
is
automatically
ejected
Never
press the
cassette to insert
it again it
cannot
be
locked.
Besuretoturn itoverforthesecond
insertion.
RECOMMENDED
CASSETTE
TAPE
For your best
use C-30, C-60 and C-90 tapes
are
recom-
mended.

FM MUTING
CIRCUIT
No
sound can be
heard
when
one
of the
FM
pr+set
buttons
is
functioning.
Do not
misunderstand this
as
trouble with the
unit.
It is
merely
intended
to
eliminate the noise
which accompanies
tuning
e
MAINTENANCE
Dust
and
dirt easily adhere to head. Moisten the cotton applicator
in alcohol and clean gently until
all
traces of dirt are removed
as
shown
in Fig. 2.
Reproduction will
improve.

IN CASE
OF
TROUBLE
When the unit does not operate properly, contact your
dealer
or
the nearest authorized
PION EER
Service Station.
