MAINTENANCE
WARNING: BEFORE CHECKING THE CONDITION OF THE PUMP, ENSURE IT
IS UNPLUGGED FROM THE MAINS SUPPLY. IF THE UNIT IS HARD WIRED,
ENSURE THE CIRCUIT BREAKER IS OPEN.
This pump should require no maintenance
other than regular cleaning. If the pump
shows signs of wear or damage contact
your CLARKE dealer for advice.
GENERAL CLEANING
Check the pump regularly to ensure the
water inlet is clear of leaves or other debris.
If foreign material has been drawn into the
pump inlet, further cleaning may be
required by back-flushing the pump with
water pressure from a hose.
CLEANING THE IMPELLER
1. Switch off the electric power supply to
the pump and drain the pump.
2. Unscrew the 8 retaining screws on the
base of the filter shown.
3. Remove the base and the filter.
4. Holding the impeller and unscrew the
nut as shown.
5. Take out the impeller, the diffuser, the ring and the O-ring.
6. Repeat for all the impellers.
7. Wash the pump with clean water
to remove any contamination
between the motor and the
pump jacket.
8. Clean the impellers and check
that they can all turn freely.
9. Assemble the parts, proceeding in
inverse order to disassembly.
