Possible problems
Spring () broken or not attached to latch

Power spring broken.

. Improper power spring tension.
2. Reel installed over ft. (6.1 m).
3. Hose length greater than ft. (15.2 m).
1. Power spring wound solid.
2. Hose removed from the reel too quickly.
. Connection not sufficiently tight and/or
thread sealant missing at ° union.
. Worn or damaged swivel assembly
Connection hose not sufficiently tight and/or
thread sealant missing or inadequate.
Solution
Replace or secure spring ().
Replace power spring assembly ().
. Set tension properly.
. Install reel at ft. (6.1 m).
. Install a hose not to exceed ft. (15.2 m).
. Decrease power spring pre-wind.
. Remove hose slowly when close to being fully
extended.
. Apply sealant to male threads of ° union and
tighten connections.
. Repair or replace swivel.
Apply sealant to connection hose and tighten to
shaft and flange assembly ().
