Introduction:
Many Ford owners
looking for a simple way to connect and play portable audio
devices on the car system
will be delighted with the FRDW-AUX. The FRDW-AUX
auxiliary input adapter connects to the 12-pin CD changer plug and
replaces the
External/Remote CD Changer**
provides a 3.5mm (1/8") input for playback of all kinds of audio devices including
Smartphones, MP3 Players, iPod, Zune etc. The FRDW-AUX is compatible with all
Ford, Lincoln, Mercury, Nissan and Jaguars pre-wired with a 12-pin plug as seen
in Fig. 1 including vehicles with Navigation Systems.

Installation:
(At 12-pin plug location)
This adapter connects to the 12-pin plug in remote area of vehicle. (Does not
connect to Radio) which means radio removal not required.

Locate pre-wired 12-pin plug (See Fig. 1)—this plug is found in remote
area of vehicle. If vehicle has a cd changer, it will be connected to the
changer a seen in Fig. 2
2. If vehicle has a CD changer, remove any panels or carpet surround and
disconnect 12-pin plug (See Fig. 1) from CD changer (See Fig.2)

3. Connect factory 12-pin plug to installation harness 12-pin connector
(See Fig. 3).
