Avaya DevConnect certification includes ALL Avaya
SIP platforms and, in general, involves adding Avaya
Communication Manager 3.1.2 and Avaya SIP
Enablement Services 3.1 to any existing Avaya phone
system (TDM or IP). See the Avaya/ClearOne MAX IP

Cisco Call Manager 4 is not native SIP , but uses SCCP
(Skinny Client Control Protocol). ClearOne tested CM4
with SIP trunk and Asterisk SIP proxy. See the
Cisco/ClearOne MAX IP application notes at
www.clearone.com.
The 79XX handsets can also be provisioned as native
SIP phones through a firmware upgrade. In this case,
they are no longer usable through Call Manager 4
(SCCP), but can be used with other SIP PBX systems.
