Horizontal Conduit Installation

FABRIC END PANEL INSTALLATION (continued)

Once the end panel is temporarily secured, take the

roll of black strapping and weave the end of the strap

through the D-rings and around the rafter pipe as

shown below.

NOTE: Maintain an even space between the rafter

and the top of the end panel. The end panel flap that

extends beyond the D-rings is tucked between the

rafter and the main cover or cover panels after the end

panel installation. DO NOT attach the flap to the end

rafter at this time.

Stretch the panel evenly out across the end rafter,

verify the panel is tight and centered, and tighten the

black strap at the top of the end panel. Top of end

panel must remain as close to the rafter as possible.

NOTE: Verify that the lower end of the panel remains

on the ground as the top is tightened. If the panel

begins to lift off the ground, loosen the top evenly

along the radius of the rafter.

With the top edge of the panel tightened, secure the

ends of the strap to the lower ends of the rafter legs/

ground posts using a self-tapping screw. This keeps

the panel secured and prevents the black strap and

D-rings from riding up the rafter legs/ground posts.

Remove any temporary straps. If you have purchased

a plain panel, continue by reading the Horizontal

Conduit Installation section that follows.

Zippered panel kits do not include horizontal conduit.

If you have purchased a zippered panel, the panel

installation is complete. Skip the Horizontal Conduit

Installation section and continue by reading the care

and maintenance section on the next page.

PLAIN END PANEL: HORIZONTAL CONDUIT INSTALL

A plain end panel includes a horizontal pocket. Pipe is

assembled and inserted into this pocket. The assembled

conduit is then secured to the end frame using ratchets

and straps.

IMPORTANT: Instructions describe attaching ratchets to

an installed base rail or vertical frame tubes. If neither are

present, customer is responsible for supplying the base

to which the ratchets are attached. (Customer-supplied

base rail, ground augers, or additional end framing are all

acceptable when properly installed. Contact your sales

representative for additional information if needed.)

The following steps describe one way to assemble and

install the conduit included with the installation kit.

ATTENTION: Insert the pipe into the horizontal pocket on

the inside surface of the end panel.

Locate the 1.315" pipes and assemble sections to

achieve the required length. Cut to length as needed.

NOTE: As pipes are connected, secure each joint with

a Tek screw and wrap the joint and screw using duct

tape to prevent damage to the end panel. The conduit

can also be assembled in sections and inserted into

the end panel pocket.

Insert the assembled conduit into the end panel

horizontal pocket. (End wall and panel shown are

used for illustration only. These may differ from the

actual items in design and size.)

Locate the QH1061 ratchets that shipped with the

installation kit and attach these to the end wall frame

on the inside surface using FA4482B Tek screws.

Space the ratchets evenly to best secure the lower

end of the panel.
