ASSEMBLY
1.
Open the carton and carefully remove the appliance.
2.
Remove all foam and plastic seals from the edges of the
appliance.
3.
Place the heater upside down on the floor so the exposed
base faces upwards.
4.
Position the plastic base on heater as in Fig 1, the 4
mounting holes should align with the receiving holes on the
heater body.
5.
Insert the 4 screws and secure the base to the heater body.
6.
Turn the heater to the correct position and place it onto a
level horizontal surface, ensuring that the heater is in an
upright position.
The heater is now ready for use.

USING YOUR HEATER
Depending on the heat setting selected, one side or both sides of
the heater will operate.
1.
Insert the heater plug into the wall socket.
2.
Rotate the power knob on the side of the heater to the
desired setting 1, 2, 3 or 4.
3.
To switch off the heater rotate switch to "0" and remove the
heater plug from the wall socket.
NOTE: This heater is fitted with a Tilt Auto Switch Off device for
your safety. if the heater tips or falls over it will automatically
switch off until placed in the upright position again.
MAINTENANCE
It is necessary to periodically wipe the heater, depending on the
placement and enviroment of its use.
Be sure the heater is fault free:
1.
Check the electric mains lead is properly connected.
2.
Ensure that the mains lead and plug are not damaged.
•
Your heater should be checked once a year by a qualified
technician.
•
If faults are suspected or detected, stop using the heater
and contact ALVA.
•
Clean the exterior of your heater when required to remove
dust, using a damp cloth only.
•
DO NOT use abrasive products to clean the heater;
these may damage the heater surface.
•
DO NOT submerge the heater in water.
•
DO NOT spray down or rinse the heater with water.
•
Always make sure the heater is OFF and cool before
conducting any maintenance.
•
Keep young children or infirm persons away from any hot
surfaces.
•
Always disconnect the heater from the electricity mains
when not in use, during installation and cleaning.
OPERATION OF THE
HEATER
NOTE: It is normal when
the heater is switched on
for the first time or when it is
switched on after having not
been used for a long period
of time, it may emit some
smell and fumes. This will
disappear when the heater
has been on a short while.
Before using the heater,
make sure you understand
the "IMPORTANT SAFETY
INFORMATION"
section of this manual.
