OUTDOOR CHAIR ASSEMBLY

NOTE:

• To ensure the chair is assembled accurately, the seat and back components are

initially secured to the legs with screws. Once the structure is self supporting,

bolts will be placed at the center of the most critical joints.

• To preserve the integrity of the pressure treated lumber, a sealer should be

applied to all cuts prior to assembly.

STEP 1. SEAT ASSEMBLY

Position the Front Leg (1), Rear Leg (2), and Arm Crossmember (3)

as shown.

Confirm the dimensions at the top and bottom of the legs and secure

each joint with 2½" Deck Screws.

When installing the screws take care to leave room in the center of the

joint for a bolt that will be installed later.

• Previewing the assembly instructions and noting the location of screws and

• Clearance holes should always be drilled before installing wood screws or bolts.

bolts will help ensure a fasteners are properly located.

Doing so makes it easier to align the joint, creates a stronger joint, and reduces

the chance of splitting the wood.

STEP 2. SEAT FRAME ASSEMBLY

• Connect the Seat Rails (4) to the Seat Sides (5) with 3" Deck Screws.

The front and back Seat Rails should overhang the Seat Sides by 3/4".
