9.5 TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE

Note: Remove the plug from the socket before carrying out adjustment, servicing or maintenance.

Problem

Motor does not start.

Sliding action stiff or binding.

Poor cutting performance.

Saw vibrates

Possible Cause

1. Fuse.

2. Brushes worn.

3. Other.

1. Build up of sawdust

1. Saw blade blunt.

2. Saw blade incorrectly

mounted.

3. Incorrect saw blade

selection.

1. Saw blade distorted.

2. Saw blade incorrectly

mounted.

Remedy

1. Replace the fuse.

2. Have brushes replaced by

an authorised service

agent.

3. Contact an authorised

service agent.

1. Vacuum up sawdust and

lubricate mechanism.

1. Stop machine

immediately. Replace saw

blade.

2. Stop machine

immediately. Remove and

refit saw blade as per

instructions.

3. Seek advice on suitable

saw blades.
