OPERATION

Instructions relating to heating are applicable only to "HEAT & COOL MODEL" (Reverse Cycle).
To start/stop operation

Press the START/STOP button to start the air conditioner, and then proceed as follows.
Vertical air direction adjustment (Swing operation)
To set the swing operation, press the VERTI-
CAL SWING button (Stop the setting by press-
ing it once again.)
NOTES
(1) • Always use the remote controller's AIRFLOW DIRECTION button.
Attempting to move the air direction louvers manually could re-
sult in improper operation; in this case, stop operation and re-
start.
The flaps should begin to operate properly again.
• During use of the Cooling mode, do not set the VERTICAL air
direction flap in the 4 position for long time, since water vapor
may condense near the outlet port and drops of water may drip
from the air conditioner.
(2) • The range of swing is relative to the currently set airflow direc-
tion.
• The SWING operation may stop temporarily when the air condi-
tioner's fan is not operating, or when operating at very low speeds.
TIMER OPERATION (ON timer/OFF timer/PROGRAM timer/SLEEP timer)
Instructions relating to heating are applicable only to "HEAT & COOL MODEL" (Reverse Cycle).
The timer functions cannot be used when this controller is used together with the Remote Controller (Wired type).
A beeping sound is made when a signal is received.
To set the ON/OFF timer
Press the START/STOP button to start the air conditioner, and then proceed as follows.
Select "OFF TIMER" or "ON TIMER".

To set the PROGRAM timer
Press the START/STOP button to start the air conditioner, and then proceed as follows.
Select "OFF TIMER".

Adjust the ON time.

(About 5 seconds later, the entire display
will reappear.)
To cancel the TIMER
Select "TIMER RESET".
The air conditioner will return to normal op-
eration.
Start time: The indoor unit's operation indicator lamp (red) will light up.
Stop time: The indoor unit's operation indicator lamp (red) will go out.

Temperature setting range:
AUTO ............... 18 to 30 °C
Heating ............ 16 to 30 °C
Cooling/Dry ..... 18 to 30 °C
Horizontal air direction adjustment (Swing operation)
To set the swing operation, press the HORIZON-
TAL SWING button (Stop the setting by press-
ing it once again.)

To change operating conditions
If you wish to change the operating conditions (ON/OFF, Mode,
Fan Speed, Temperature Setting), after making the time set-
ting, wait until the entire display reappears, then press the ap-
propriate buttons to change to the desired operating condition.
