ever, the information will continue to be dis-
played until the cleaning function has been run in
full.
To reset the cleaning recommendation, press
and hold the
 button for approx. four seconds.
The information does not reappear until the appli-
ance has been used again a certain number of
times.
Notes
¡ If the appliance is already dirty, e.g. because you
have used it to cook fatty poultry or roasts, or if you
notice dark patches on the self-cleaning surfaces,
do not wait until this information appears in the dis-
play to run the cleaning function. The more often
you use the cleaning function, the longer the self-
cleaning surfaces will retain their cleaning ability.
¡ After a power failure, the cleaning recommendation
is reset. It is therefore a good idea to run the clean-
ing function after a power failure has occurred.
14.2 Preparing the appliance for the
cleaning function
In order to achieve a good cleaning result, prepare the
appliance carefully.
ATTENTION!
Using oven cleaner on the self-cleaning surfaces dam-
ages the surfaces.
Do not use oven cleaner on the self-cleaning sur-
faces. If oven cleaner does get onto these surfaces,
dab it off immediately using water and a sponge
cloth. Do not rub the surface and do not use abras-
ive cleaning aids.

15  Cleaning assistance
