10. Press the 'Source...' button and the EKC is selected
automatically (appears in the 'Source' section)
11. Press the 'Dest...' button, enter a file name for the
setting file (max. 8 characters) and press the 'Save'
button
12. Press the 'Copy' button to copy settings from EKC to
setting file
13. Return to the main screen
14. Exit AKM
15. Integrate the setting file with EKC programming
software (see procedure below)
16. Program an EKC with Danfoss factory settings using
EKC programmer software (see procedure further
below)
17. Verify that all settings in the EKC are correct by
manually reading all parameters of the EKC
Integrate the setting file with EKC programming software,
following this procedure:
1. Start a file browsing programme, e.g. 'Windows
explorer'
2. Copy the setting file (extension '*.akc') from the
AKM-folder (default folder: 'C:\AKM\AKBCKUP') to
the setting file folder of the EKC programmer (default
folder: 'C:\Program files\EKC programmer\setting
files')
3. Rename the setting file to any name not exceeding
255 characters, keeping the '*.akc' extension
4. Close the file browsing programme
Program EKC with EKC programmer software using the following procedure:
1. Start EKC programmer software
2. Connect the EKC to the programming tool (never connect power-connector before termination module)
3. Press the 'Browse' button to select the setting file
4. Press the 'Start Programming' button
5. The 'Status message' box turns green to inform that the EKC has been successfully programmed. This lasts
approximately 2 seconds with EKC 101 and approximately 80 seconds with other EKC's.

For additional help on using EKC programmer, please refer to the online help following the EKC programmer software.
Minimum requirements to PC:
PC of type 80586 / Pentium with at least 32 MB RAM (64 MB, if Windows 2000 or NT) and possibility of a serial and a
parallel connection.
Operative system: Windows 95 or newer windows version.
